How Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision can Eradicate HIV

How Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision can Eradicate HIV

Stop! Don't leave. If you are FGM activist, we too are against FGM. But Female Circumcision is not FGM. Read on to clarify your doubt.

The Male Circumcision and the Female Circumcision are two simple procedures that are performed on the foreskin of the head of the penis in Male and the hood of the clitoris in Female respectively. They are performed for the same reasons of protecting the male or female from a number of diseases infecting the genital area including the HIV.
Prevalence of Circumcision all over the world. EradicateHIV. Eradicate HIV.

Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

The male circumcision entails the removal of the foreskin of the head of the while in female circumcision the hood of the clitoris is removed. The foreskin and the hood cover the glans or head of the penis and the clitoris respectively.

Difference between Male circumcision and female circumcision

There is no difference in the two procedures other than that it is carried out on male and female. The two procedures can be compared on medical grounds, as they both offer the same medical benefits for the male and the female respectively and collectively. This is one of those medical treatments that treats male and female equally.

Organs are different in male and female but composition is the same

The genital organs of the Male and the Female develop in the womb of the mother during the first three months of the pregnancy. During this time the genital part of the male will grow into the shape of a penis while a section of the female genital part will grow into a small extension just like the penis called clitoris. Both these organs will be covered by a tissue of the skin called prepuce. The prepuce acts as foreskin in of the head of the penis in Male and hood of the clitoris in female. The head of the penis and clitoris develop only to the level of muscular tissue, then stops developing. There is no skin on the head of the penis and on the clitoris. Both these parts are kept underdeveloped to bare muscle by the presence of the foreskin in male and the hood in female. Even the foreskin of the male and hood of the female are made up of the same skin structure that is composed from muccocutaneous tissue .

The prepuce removed in Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

The prepuce in both male and female cover the glans of the penis and clitoris respectively. The prepuce keeps the head of the penis and the clitoris underdeveloped. The prepuce also help to lodge and even breed microorganism in the space between the prepuce and the head of the penis in male and the prepuce and clitoris in female. The prepuce has no role to play in sexual satisfaction or orgasm, all it has to do during sexual activity is to slide to the back of the penis but most cases it doesn't even do that. In most cases the foreskin of the penis is too tight to slide back and it causes severe pain during sexual activity. In some cases it is too loose and sags on the staff of the penis, interfering with the pleasure of sexual activity. It is in very few cases that the prepuce functions perfectly. Likewise in female too it does not slide of easily during sexual activity making sexual activity very painful for female.

It is the head of the penis in male and the clitoris in female that has the most important role to play during sexual activity.  It is the head of the penis in male and the clitoris that brings in orgasm and even climax during sexual activity. But the presence of the prepuce keeps the head of the penis underdeveloped in male and the clitoris underdeveloped in female ie. the head of the penis and the clitoris are developed to the stage of muscle structure only. The presence of the prepuce does not allow the skin to grow over the head of the penis in male and the clitoris in female.

If you are uncircumcisied you can see that the head of the penis is just a muscle and does not have a skin on it if you are male and if your are female and uncircumcised you will notice that your clitoris is just a muscle without a skin. If you touch that muscle allong with sensation you will also feel pain because there is no skin to stop the pain. This is the perpetual pain that is felt by uncircumcised people but they don't know it because the body gets used to that pain. This pain is equivalent to the pain one suffers from touching the bare muscle in a injury on any part of the body.

So when a uncircumcised person involves himself or herself in sexual activity the main part that creates orgasm or climax remains underdeveloped so instead of pleasure the person will feel pain and also climax faster as the muscle without the skin is oversensitive and is sensing pain along with sensations.

After circumcision the development of the head of the penis in male and the development of the clitoris in female is completed the perptual pain comes to an end. A skin develops over the muscle structure and now there is no pain and only sensation. Thus circumcision normalises your sexual activity and brings the pleasure you derive from sexual activity to normal levels from negative levels of pain and dissatisfaction.

Nerve endings in the inner side of the prepuce in Male and Female

It is observed that there are almost no nerve endings on the inner side of the prepuce it was filled with openings of glands secreting liquid to keep off the friction between the prepuce and the underdeveloped head of the penis of male or the underdeveloped clitoris in female. All the nerve endings that are used for sexual satisfaction, orgasm and climax are present on the underdeveloped head of the penis in male and the underdeveloped clitoris in female. As they are kept underdeveloped by the prepuce sexual activity is very painful instead of being a pleasure in both male and female. It is only after circumcison that the development of the head of the penis and the clitoris is completed and a proper skin is grown on both these muscle structure. Now when the person involves in sexual activities he / she will feel all the sensations but without the pain.

Tissue removed in Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

Male circumcision and Female circumcision are similar on the grounds that in both cases the whole prepuce is removed. The foreskin in case of male and the hood in case of female. The size of the tissue removed in both cases varies with the age at which circumcision is done. It is always found that if age remains fixed the more tissue is removed in male circumcision than in female circumcision.

History of Circumcision.

Circumcisions have been carried out for many centuries wherein the above mentioned procedure has been followed in all the cases, in all countries around the world, for thousands of years. Performing the circumcision offered protection from many genital diseases and got rid of many types of sexual dysfunction. It also improved the relationship between couples and helped protect their children from various diseases.

Even 3000 years ago ancient times before circumcision came into practice people suffered and died from many diseases that tend to develop from the genital area. But after the practice of Circumcision was started all these diseases were eradicated in human beings but may have continued in those who refused to follow circumcision.

Circumcision was a mandatory procedure all over the world till the end of the World War II. After World War II many medical practices and vaccinations were discontinued due to cash crunch. On of the practices that were discontinued was Circumcision.

From that time all those diseases seems to have come back as Circumcision is now being  dismissed on one ground or the other by governments of different countries and decision making organisation. This is making mankind suffer from all those same diseases that Circumcision had successfully eradicated from human beings before the practice of Circumcision started.

The reason behind this hatred is because of the projection of Circumcision as a religious ritual of a particular religion. This has reduced the medical value of Circumcision due to the religious sentiments in human beings.

But the truth is that because of its medical benefits almost all the religions of the world had accepted Circumcision and had included it to be a part of their religion and not vice versa.

No difference in the methods of Circumcision in Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

There are no difference in the methods of circumcision. There is only one method where in the entire prepuce is removed in both male and female. If anything more or anything less is removed than it would not amount circumcision.

If something less is removed it would be just some other cosmetic surgery. If more is removed then it would be Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in females and in males to there would not be any medical benefits. At any place, in any period or who ever does it; if the person is performing circumcision then he or she will only remove the prepuce in both male and female.

All the stories and reports of different types of circumcision and association of circumcision with torture are all misconceptions caused due to the authors and writers confusing Female Circumcision with FMG.

Thus in male or female circumcision the qualifier or the evidence of circumcision would be absence of the prepuce only. This fact can make an effective benchmark for the law making agencies of the world, by which those who misuse process of circumcision can be punished. And those that are misinformed or misguided against this process can be educated on the use and importance of this process for themselves and their future generations.

Does Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision affect sexual behaviour

The removal of the prepuce does not affect the sexuality of either man or woman for themselves nor their partners. It is found that there are almost no nerve endings on the prepuce but it is filled with outlets for glands that produces a liquid like substance to prevent friction between the prepuce and the underdeveloped head of the penis in male and the underdeveloped clitoris in female. It is also further clarified that all the nerve ending for sexual satisfaction including orgasm and climax are present on the head of the penis in male and the clitoris in female. But due to the presence of the prepuce the head of the penis and the clitoris is kept underdeveloped ie. it is developed to the level of muscular structure. There is no development of skin on the head of the penis and the clitoris. This causes perpetual pain as the direct exposture to the muscle causes excruciating pain which is ignored by the body due to its perpetual nature. So in uncircumcised people the sexual pleasure is converted in to painful pleasure which not only lead to sexual dissatisfaction but also to sexual dysfunction.

After circumcision due to the development of the skin the perpetual pain is completely eliminated and only the sensations remain. So people who undergo circumcision experience normal sexual pleasure without pain and have normal orgams and climax.

Further more the prepuce is also known to lodge and breed microorganisms and let them enter the human body. With the prepuce gone the circumcised person is protected from the invasion of microorganisms into the body. Such that circumcised people can involve themselves in sexual activity without the fear of geting infected from some or the other diseases.

Age for circumcision

The circumcision of the male child is usually done within a week from his birth. While the circumcision of female is done at the age of 7 to 8 years so that the procedure can be performed easily. But after the above mentioned minimum ages circumcision can be carried out at any age and its benefits remain unchanged with age.

Healing from Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

In the male it takes the infant few days to a week to completely heal. While in grown ups males it take a few days more but they are able to walk out of immeditely after the operation. But in case of females it is almost a painless surgery and then can walk right after circumcision. There is hardly any bleeding. Medically there is no need to apply any bandage. Only cream like vaseline is applied. They can take a bath the same day and in two to three days are completely healed.

Side Effects of Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

In both Male circumcision and Female Circumcision there are no side effects. No complications have ever been reported due circumcision. The urinary tract in both male and female remain untouched during the whole procedure of circumcision so there can never be a urinary tract infection because of circumcision.

Protection from diseases after Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

Both male and female are get protected from many diseases due to circumcision. After circumcision the head of the penis in male and the clitoris in female becomes completely developed ie. a proper skin covers the bare muscle of the head of the penis in male and the clitoris is female. This prevents the entry of the virions of HIV into the body and also stops the entry of many microorganisms. Further the prepuce that is known to lodge and breed microorganisms before pushing them into the human body also stands removed thus eliminating the presence of anaerobic microorganisms. Especially in case of entry of virions of viruses like HIV, circumcision makes the virions of HIV to fall outside the human body. Circumcision stops the virions of HIV virus from making the first contact with CD4 cells of the body. With this contact eliminated the virions of HIV just falls outside the human body without infecting it. The protection of circumcision is extended to the foetal health when having children in the future. It protects the foetal from microbial attacks like bacterial and fungal attacks.

Place where Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision is performed

Male circumcision is carried out in normal hospitals and special centers  for circumcision. For female circumcision too there are specialized clinics all over the world where the process is called Clitoral unhooding or Clitoral dehooding. It is a part of Hoodectomy and Labiaplasty. It comes under Female Genital Cosmetic Surgery (FGCS).  It can also be done at the home of the person who is circumcised depending on his or her paying capacity as there is no need to get hospitalized or admitted after the procedure.

Procedure of Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

Circumcision is done using specialized equipment like the phimosis clamp making it almost painless in women. There are other devices that are used to reduce pain and injury to the surrounding tissues and minimize the healing time of procedure. Usually local anesthesia is used in the case of females and grown up men. While in female circumcision only a cream like Vaseline is applied but in male circumcision a small bandage is applied over the circumcised area.

Side effects or after effects of Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

Circumcision has no side effects or after effects. After healing there is no pain ever in the circumcised part. There has been no reports of medical problems due to circumcision. It is a very simple procedure and there is no trauma or stress created during or after this process.

Legality of Male Circumcision and Female Circumcision

Both Male and Female circumcision are legal procedures. Male Circumcision is allowed to be performed all over the world. And Female circumcision is also allowed to be performed all over the world under the name of Clitoral Unhooding or Clitoral dehooding.

There is misconception currently on in many countries regarding Female Circumcision. This is because of the wrong association Female Circumcision to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). FGM is rightfully banned all over the world but Female Circumcision is not FGM.

The definition of FGM according to World Health Organisation FGM states, 'Clitoridectomy: partial or total removal of clitoris and / or the prepuce.' This definition of FGM clarifies the fact that removal of the prepuce combined with partial or total removal of clitoris would constitute FGM.

This clearly means that only removal of the prepuce or the hood of the clitoris as is done in Female Circumcision, Clitoral Unhooding does not come under the definition of FGM. Thus Female circumcision is not FGM.

There attempts for dismissing the health benefits of Circumcision after world war II when cash crunch and inconclusive and biased scientific studies declared that circumcision has no benefits. This reduced the incidence of procedure of circumcision from being performed.

The result was that from that period onward diseases like HIV have started infecting mankind. Although baffled at that time as to what could have caused HIV. Today studies are showing clear indication that HIV is caused because uncircumcised men and uncircumcised women. Because it is only in the prepuce of men and women that the a inactive and immobile virions of HIV are able to invade a CD4 cell and grow into a HIV.

Conclusion

Despite wrong medical claims and protests esteemed organisations like World Health Organisation (WHO) had to implement male circumcision in South Africa as it was the only method of stopping the HIV from spreading. If the same is implemented all over the world combined with female circumcision, HIV can be eradicated.

Female Circumcision should be separated from FMG. Because the two processes are completely different. There is no connection between either of them. The researchers and writers should also take care not to combine Female Circumcision with FGM and write research papers and articles respectively, as if both are the same process.

The authors who use Female Circumcision and FGM as the same process should also be informed of the difference. Circumcision gets its origin from Latin circumcis - to cut around, from the verb circumcidere, from circum 'around, about' + caedere 'to cut'.

How can any literary person treat Circumcision and Mutilation to mean the same? The authors who might have done this mistake or just followed the herd should realize the misconception they have created for Female Circumcision in the minds of the people.

Especially those authors who have shown this confusion on the titles of their respective books. For that matter even some researchers are mixing up both these terms in research papers. If possible all these people should make the necessary corrections so that they mean what they want to write. Or the future generations would look down upon them for their literary ignorance.

The common people are aware of the benefits of circumcision and they will choose the benefits of the circumcision over suffering caused by the infection of diseases like HIV.

Even after hiding research papers, undermining the truth, presenting wrong views about the procedure, starting protests and forums, writing books against circumcisions, the common people continue to perform circumcision, which would mean that benefits of circumcision far outweigh its disadvantages that are falsely reported. Because when infected by diseases like HIV it is the common people who have to suffer the pain and even early death.

The common man is aware that all these people who are decision makers have come together and have used all possible means, invested billions of dollars, have done extensive research for more than 35 years but are not able to produce a vaccine against HIV as effective as Circumcision.

In the near future the truth about circumcision will be known to all and those who are against it today would be witness to it, if they don't infect themselves with some disease like HIV. The people who are suffering from various diseases like HIV will then blame their parents for not circumcising them. And those who are circumcised will thank their parents for giving them the freedom to live freely in a world infested with viruses like HIV.
